Emmaline Norborg Carter is an artist, musician and singer/songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her B.F.A. with a focus in photography from the University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning in 2022, where she was selected as one of the DAAPworks Directors’ Choice winners for her thesis work.
Working with photo, video, and sound, Carter investigates intersections of memory, place, liminality, and chronic illness. Her work has been featured in F-Stop Magazine and Rental Magazine, and she was named one of Lenscratch’s Student Prize: 25 to Watch artists in 2022.
